Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. seeks a dynamic Project Manager to lead mission-critical engineering and facilities initiatives across the Midlands, Manchester, and London delivery station network.

You will drive large-scale transformations, including new site launches and automated solutions, from conception through completion. You will manage end-to-end projects, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, validating designs, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining high standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in planning, scheduling and auditing maintenance activities.
• Experience working with CMMS software.
• Experience with the designs of complex automated material handling systems, robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
• Experience in technical leadership of development, testing, and implementation of large-scale, complex technology projects.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, transportation and logistics, or fulfillment and distribution centers.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects related to the deployment of engineering solutions in delivery stations of UK/IE Amazon Logistics (AMZL) network
• Owning projects including greenfield launches, MHE re-layouts, retrofits of automated solutions and other building improvements
• Leading the full project lifecycle from equipment ordering, layout validation, vendor coordination and project plan finalisation to installation works management, vendor commissioning, SAT completion and handover to internal customers
• Interacting with different functions to provide trade off solutions that satisfy potential conflicts and deliver as per guidelines
• Validating stakeholder designs and customer requirements and providing feedback in a timely manner to resolve technical deficiencies and maintain schedules
• Identifying inefficiencies of processes or standards within the allocated country or at European level and proactively leading improvements with the relevant teams
