Job summary

Freight Personnel in Manchester is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operator to join our client’s team. The role will function like a freight forwarder, handling UK export shipments to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany, with some limited work for other EU destinations.

You will quote shipments, manage bookings, and maintain proactive communication with clients via email and phone. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact for UK export requirements at the

Qualifications

• Experience in road freight to quote shipments and manage bookings.
• Customer liaison via email and phone to secure bookings.
• Ability to coordinate with UK export requirements and EU teams.
• Understanding of customs requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end bookings from quotation to delivery.
• Generate invoices after delivery and keep clients informed.
• Coordinate with UK export requirements and EU teams to ensure smooth flow.
• Maintain high service levels while managing a large volume of email traffic.
