Job summary

Manifest Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior European Road Freight Coordinator to support export operations from Tilbury. In this role you will liaise with customers, hauliers and carriers to arrange bookings, collect documents and ensure deadlines are met for vessels and flights.

You will gain hands-on experience handling export documentation, customs entries and summaries, while developing strong English communication and team skills in a dynamic freight-forwarding environment.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience minimum in export operations, on both airfreight and seafreight.
• Experience completing export documentation, including checking country requirements, and raising Certificates of origin if required.
• Experience in completing customs declarations.
• Experience of CNS and Destin8; our forwarding software is Multi-freight.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and friendly personality.
• Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Strong and dynamic team player.
• Excellent English and Maths skills

Responsibilities

• Communicating with customers, hauliers and carriers.
• Arranging bookings with lines and carriers.
• Arranging collections making sure to meet vessel/ flight deadlines.
• Completing customs entries.
• Raising export documentation and manifests.
• Checking with warehouses that screening and check weighing have been completed.
• Finalising all documentation.
• Checking vessels/flights have been met.
• Invoicing, liaising with and sending pre alerts to overseas agents.
• Following up after delivery to ensure the customer was happy and find out anything else that we could look after for them.
