UK-ESS Project Management Engineer/Manager

Job summary

CATL in the United Kingdom seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead overseas energy storage customer engagements, identify needs and drive high-value ESS projects.

You will coordinate with account PMs, development and sales teams, manage multi-department commissioning and after-sales activities, and build strong customer trust.

This role requires at least 3 years of PM experience, overseas exposure, and familiarity with ESS, Li-ion batteries, and related utility markets.

Qualifications

• PM with at least 3 years of experience

• Experience in electric power/utility, ESS, Li-ion battery preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage overseas energy storage customers in the UK to identify needs and uncover high-value projects.
• Assist account PMs in coordinating critical meetings and addressing key issues at the customer side.
• Improve coordination across multiple customer contacts and strengthen face-to-face communication.
• Coordinate internal resources with account PMs to qualify opportunities and engage customers.
• Coordinate onsite colleagues from other departments to ensure progress of commissioning and after-sales tasks, resolving cross-department issues.
• Establish program team, initiate and lead to deliver and manage schedule, quality, cost, and risk.
• Manage the onsite PM team and provide training to enhance team capabilities.

Job description

1、Connect with overseas energy storage customers and related companies in UK, build good relationship and identify needs and explore high-value potential project opportunities;

2、Assist account PM for coordinating and preparing critical meetings, and coordinating the highlight issues at customer side;

3、Enhance the coordination and service for multiple contact windows of customers, and strengthen management of the face-to-face communication with customers;

4、Coordinate internal resource, sales team, development team, together with account PMs, to figure out the qualification and customer engagement;

5、Coordinate onsite colleagues from other departments, like SC, AMD, to guarantee reasonable progress of commissioning and after-sales tasks of ESS projects, and resolve the problems across multiple departments;

6、Establish program team, and initiate the program, lead the team to deliver, and be responsible for the program management of schedule, quality, cost, and risk;

7、Manage the onsite PM team, with proper training to improve the capability of the team members.

Requirement:

Skills：good at communication, with good logic, capable on data analysis and report writing；

Experience: At least 3 years of experience for PM; Oversea working experience is prior consideration; Be familiar with ESS project business mode and development, priority consideration will be given to 2 years above experience on electric power/utility, ESS, Li-ion battery;
