Job summary

LemFi is seeking an experienced UK Entity Controller to own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for the FCA-authorised group. You will lead a small team, drive robust credit accounting for consumer lending, and ensure safeguarding and regulatory reporting are precise and timely.

The role requires deep IFRS/FRS102 knowledge, experience in a high-volume, multi-currency environment, and a hands-on, leadership mindset to build a lean, controlled finance function.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 10+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Hands-on lending or consumer credit accounting including IFRS 9 ECL modelling.
• Experience in FCA-regulated firms such as EMI, payment institution, bank, or lender.
• Strong FRS 102 and IFRS technical knowledge with clean statutory audits.
• Experience with high volumes, multi-currency transactions and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the UK close for monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting.
• Prepare and file FRS 102 statutory accounts on time; liaise with auditors.
• Build and own credit accounting for consumer lending (IFRS 9 ECL, interest income, write-offs).
• Ensure safeguarding of funds and correct month-end reflection.
• Collaborate with Group Reporting on intercompany positions and currency handling.
• Partner with FP&A for entity forecasts and capital adequacy, support FCA returns.
• Document controls, establish backups, and drive scalable close processes.
