Job summary

Worley is seeking a UK Director of Engineering to lead and govern Engineering & Design across the UK, providing strategic direction, technical governance and people leadership for a workforce of about 500 engineers across multiple disciplines and locations.

The role drives safety, quality and delivery standards, partners with senior management and FEED teams, and champions Worley values while shaping capability, efficiency and innovation in a transitioning low-carbon energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Extensive engineering project delivery experience within the EPC industry including site experience.
• Experience of successfully leading and developing large teams/departments.
• Motivational leadership style and strong communication skills with ability to develop high performance culture.
• Ability to mitigate risks effectively through positive decision making.
• Strong technical background and ability to manage resolution of complex technical issues

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership and governance for the engineering function across the UK.
• Champion Worley Purpose, Values, Safety (SEAL) and Engineering standards.
• Own engineering risk management and improvement plans; drive performance.
• Lead Technical Peer Reviews and ensure quality and technical integrity across projects.
• Support business development, proposals and client relationships.
• Develop location capability, talent pipelines and succession plans.
