Job summary

Worley UK seeks a strategic engineering leader to own governance, delivery and performance for Engineering & Design across the UK. You will guide a large multi-discipline team, drive safety culture, and align with Worley tools and processes while shaping capability across locations.

You will lead risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor senior managers through continuous improvement initiatives to deliver major projects and sustain long-term capability.

Qualifications

• Extensive engineering project delivery experience within the EPC industry including site experience.
• Experience of successfully leading and developing large teams/departments.
• Motivational leadership style and strong communication skills with ability to develop high performance culture.
• Ability to mitigate risks effectively through positive decision making.
• Strong technical background and ability to manage resolution of complex technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership and governance for the engineering function.
• Champion Worley Purpose, Values, Life culture, and SEAL (Safety).
• Own engineering risk management and improvement plans.
• Drive engineering performance and technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, standards, and company requirements.
• Lead Technical Peer Reviews (TPRs).
• Develop location capability and talent pipelines.
• Support graduate development, SME development, and learning programs.
• Promote diversity, inclusion, wellbeing, and employee engagement.
• Manage engineering budgets and workforce plans.
• Approve recruitment decisions.
• Develop capability matrices and location capability profiles.
• Drive adoption of Worley global engineering tools and systems.
• Participate in project reviews and engineering assurance activities.
