Job summary

Worley UK seeks an experienced UK Director of Engineering to lead governance and delivery of Engineering & Design across the UK. You will oversee approximately 500 engineers, shaping strategy, risk management, and resource planning to ensure safe, sustainable outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, technical governance, and people development across multiple locations, with a focus on continuous improvement and value creation for assets and operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive engineering project delivery experience within the EPC industry.
• Experience leading large teams and departments.
• Strong communication skills and motivational leadership.
• Ability to mitigate risks through decisive decision making.
• Background in technical resolution and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance for the engineering function and leadership across seven disciplines.
• Own engineering risk management and improvement plans.
• Drive engineering performance, quality and compliance with standards.
• Lead succession planning and talent development for critical roles.
• Support business development, proposals and client relationships.
• Promote continuous improvement and adoption of digital tools.
