Job summary

SF Express (Europe) is expanding its UK customs clearance operations and seeks an experienced Customs Clearance Specialist to manage daily declarations and ensure regulatory compliance across the UK. The role covers major UK gateways like Heathrow, EMA, Stansted, Gatwick and Felixstowe, supporting B2B, B2C and C2C shipments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of UK customs clearance or import/export compliance experience.
• Hands-on experience with UK CDS and declaration software.
• Strong knowledge of UK customs procedures, HS codes, duties and VAT.
• Fluent English and Mandarin with strong communication and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily import and export customs declarations for air and sea freight using CDS and relevant software.
• Review HS codes, customs valuation, origin, duties, VAT and supporting documentation.
• Resolve customs holds and inspections, liaising with HMRC, Border Force, ports and customers.
• Develop and maintain customs clearance SOPs, compliance procedures and risk controls.
• Support customs authorisation applications (SCDP, DDA, AEO) and BIFA membership.
• Help establish clearance capabilities at key UK gateways and integrate systems.
