Job summary

W&P Partners Legal Recruitment is seeking a commercially focused UK Commercial Counsel to join its global Legal team. You will own a broad range of commercial matters, negotiate complex SaaS and technology agreements, and support strategic deals across multiple jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will be a solicitor in England and Wales with at least five years of commercial experience, plus in-house tech/SaaS exposure and strong negotiation skills. AI tools experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or eligible to practise in the UK.
• Minimum five years of relevant commercial legal experience.
• In-house experience in technology or SaaS preferred.
• Strong ability to negotiate complex SaaS and tech agreements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in fast-growth tech environments valuable.
• Comfort using AI and digital collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary lawyer for UK and US commercial matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex SaaS, customer, vendor, and partnership agreements.
• Lead legal support on strategic commercial deals.
• Provide practical advice on contractual, commercial, and compliance risks.
• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
• Support the resolution of commercial disputes through negotiation or mediation.
• Help the business identify and manage legal risk while supporting growth.
