Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd. is seeking an UGC Engineering Manager to lead design outputs and ensure technical integrity across our 33–400kV EPC portfolio.

You will manage a team of senior engineers and act as the senior technical interface with major clients such as SSE, SPEN and National Grid. You will drive engineering quality, governance, and delivery, maintaining design standards and supporting bid activity while building strong relationships with clients at senior levels.

Qualifications

• Lead UGC engineering outputs across allocated schemes and ensure quality and technical integrity.
• Establish and maintain design standards, procedures and quality framework aligned with client requirements.
• Act as Engineering Authority and signatory for complex deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality, delivery, and safety culture.
• Provide governance from feasibility through construction support and as-built.
• Represent UIPTD at client governance forums and review boards.
• Direct line management of Senior/Lead Engineers andIntermediate Engineers while overseeing CAD engineers and graduates.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to technical sections of tenders and PQQs for UGC framework contracts.
• Review and approve engineering fee estimates and resource plans for bids.
• Manage technical risk across the portfolio with escalation where needed.
• Build strong client relationships at senior levels and manage expectations.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 Designer and Principal Designer obligations.
