Job summary

United Infrastructure Power T&D Limited (UIPTD) is seeking a strategic Head of Design Management to lead its UK design management team across power transmission & distribution projects. The role drives technical governance, client satisfaction, and commercial performance while coordinating across UK offices in a hybrid working setup.

You will mentor Design Managers, oversee resourcing, and ensure projects comply with NEC3/NEC4 contract frameworks, CDM 2015 and HSE standards, delivering complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline relevant to electricity transmission & distribution.
• 10+ years of engineering design and design management experience in UK power sector.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or APM RPP status.
• Extensive experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts and client governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design Managers, ensuring resource planning and career development.
• Provide design governance from concept to closeout across FEED, permitting, planning, estimation and construction support.
• Maintain compliance with CDM 2015, and enforce HSE and environmental standards.
• Manage contracts and risk, safeguarding margins and regulatory compliance.
• Develop client relationships and support business development activities.
