Job summary

Malloy Aeronautics Ltd. in Maidenhead is seeking a Control Unit Operator to support UAV flight operations from prototype to production. You will configure aircraft systems, manage batteries, prepare ground equipment and monitor in-flight performance for safety and validation.

Working with flight test engineers and production teams, you will document results, troubleshoot issues, and help deliver compliant, mission-ready systems; a strong emphasis on safety and reporting is required.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years in UAV GCS, telemetry, or IT systems.
• Basic understanding of UAV flight dynamics and subsystems.
• Hands-on ability to perform field repairs and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Operate UAV GCS interfaces and provide live feedback to pilots.
• Attend trials and demo flights in the UK and abroad.
• Prepare UAV platforms for flight testing, telemetry, and calibration.
• Collect and download flight data from logs and tools.
• Assist in planning test events and liaise with engineers.
