Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment in the United Kingdom seeks a UAV test engineer to bridge engineering and field operations, leading the end-to-end flight testing lifecycle from planning to telemetry review while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

You will conduct test planning, pilot in-field flights, analyze data against engineering metrics, and deliver actionable reports to drive platform improvements. Desirable familiarity with CAA/MAA/EASA rules and UK SC Clearance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Flight operations experience in uncrewed or crewed flight testing with telemetry analysis.
• Pilot certification with manual and autonomous flight operations.
• Strong ability to interpret complex flight data and translate into engineering feedback.
• Familiarity with aviation regulatory standards (CAA, MAA, EASA) and UK SC clearance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution: author test plans and risk assessments; operate as UAV pilot in the field to collect telemetry and performance data.
• Flight Preparation: oversee pre-flight ground testing, system checks and field setup to ensure mission readiness.
• Data & Reporting: process flight data against engineering metrics and deliver actionable technical reports.
