Job summary

Remedy Social Work is seeking a Social Work Team Manager for the UASC and Pathways team in Shropshire. The role involves leading a team looking after UASC and looked-after children aged 16–18, with responsibilities including supervision, multi-agency chairing, and performance oversight.

The post requires flexible travel for case duties, including court appearances, and duties as duty manager for the CLA/UASC service. Registration with Remedy is required for locum positions.

Responsibilities

• To manage the UASC and Pathways Social Work Team, responsible for UASC and looked after children 16 to 18 years.
• Supervise a team of 7 social workers, meeting the requirement for all children to receive supervision on a 4 weekly basis.
• To chair multi-agency meetings in relation to permanence planning and risk management, providing comprehensive management oversight to progress young people's plans.
• To quality assure key documents and assessments in a timely manner as part of care planning regulations and to meet the needs of the service.
• To provide performance oversight for the team, attending a weekly performance meeting to share current data and agree a plan to remedy any outstanding tasks.
• To act as a duty manager for the CLA and UASC Service, covering annual leave and staff sickness.
