Job summary

Tripod Partners is seeking a Team Manager for UASC and Pathways. The role oversees a team of social workers (UASC and looked after children aged 16–18), chairs multi‑agency meetings for permanence planning, and ensures timely quality assurance of care plans and assessments.

The post includes weekly performance oversight and duties as duty manager for the CLA and UASC service. Hybrid arrangements include one office day per week and periodic face‑to‑face meetings.

Qualifications

• Lead and supervise a team of social workers to deliver services.
• Chair multi-agency meetings for permanence planning and risk management.
• Quality assure key documents and assessments within care planning regulations.
• Provide weekly performance oversight and remedy outstanding tasks.
• Act as duty manager for the CLA and UASC Service during leave or sickness.

Responsibilities

• To manage the UASC and Pathways Social Work Team, responsible for UASC and looked after children 16 to 18 years.
• Supervise a team of 7 social workers, meeting the requirement for all children to receive supervision on a 4 weekly basis.
• To chair multi-agency meetings in relation to permanence planning and risk management, providing comprehensive management oversight to progress young people’s plans.
• To quality assure key documents and assessments in a timely manner as part of care planning regulations and to meet the needs of the service.
• To provide performance oversight for the team, attending a weekly performance meeting to share current data and agree a plan to remedy any outstanding tasks.
• To act as a duty manager for the CLA and UASC Service, covering annual leave and staff sickness.
