Job summary

SYOS in the UK is seeking an experienced UAS Chief Pilot to lead the Flight Operations team, oversee RPIC duties across multiple UAS platforms, and ensure flight safety and regulatory compliance for flight test and development programs.

The role requires regular travel to airfields and operational locations, coordinating with engineering and regulatory teams to maintain safe, efficient flight operations in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 200 hours of UAS flight experience as Remote Pilot in Command.
• Formal UAS pilot qualification (Part 102 or international equivalent).
• Experience leading small, highly skilled teams and maintaining compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage UAS Remote Pilots within the Flight Operations team.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, currency and competency of UAS pilots.
• Ensure flight operations comply with UAS regulations and approved procedures.
• Support test plans, risk assessments and flight-test activities with engineering teams.
