SYOS is seeking a Flight Operations Manager to own and deliver safe, compliant flight operations for autonomous systems. You will coordinate trials, demonstrations, and regulatory activities, working with engineering, trials, certification, and customer teams.

You will lead pilots and support staff, ensure safety standards, and maintain relationships with regulators and industry partners while travelling to airfields and operational sites as required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in flight operations management, ideally military/defence or UAS environments.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety standards and risk management.
• Proven ability to lead pilots, operators and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent planning, organisational and decision‑making skills.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK and obtain UK Security Clearance.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, coordination and execution of UAS flight trials and demonstrations for defence and civil customers.
• Develop and manage flight plans, schedules and operational activities.
• Coordinate resources across engineering, operations and support teams for smooth delivery.
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to safety, efficiency and delivery.
• Act as a focal point with regulators for approvals and ensure ongoing compliance.
