Job summary

Bristol Rovers FC Football Club is recruiting a dedicated Goalkeeper Coach to support the Lead PDP Coach in delivering an ambitious academy coaching curriculum. You will develop GK programmes and individual plans for U15–U18s, while working with multiple phases to align with club playing principles.

The role requires UEFA B licence, strong communication, and a commitment to youth development, with weekend/evening availability. DBS checks and safeguarding commitments are part of the process.

Qualifications

• UEFA B licence is required.
• Experience coaching within relevant age groups (academy/player development).
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Enthusiastic, personable and with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings with young players.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead PDP Coach in implementing and delivering the academy coaching curriculum.
• Develop GK curriculum aligned to academy and club playing principles.
• Develop individual development plans for goalkeepers (U15–U18).
• Provide technical coaching support for the Professional Development Phase.
• Maintain weekly training reporting with the head of coaching and deliver performance updates with MDT.
• Contribute to the scouting and recruitment process where appropriate.
• Undertake CPD and maintain coaching qualifications.
