Job summary

Bolton Wanderers FC is seeking a sessional Academy Goalkeeper Coach to support our youth development programme. You will coach and develop keepers across technical, tactical and psychological aspects within the Academy framework.

The role requires UEFA B Licence, FA Youth Award modules 1-3 (or in progress), safeguarding certification, and a commitment to child welfare. BWFC offers an engaging environment with a focus on development and safety.

Qualifications

Hold a UEFA B Licence (or equivalent).
Working towards FA Youth Award Modules 1-3 accepted.
Must be a member or eligible for FA Licensed Coaching Club.
Valid Safeguarding Children and Emergency Aid (EFAiF) cert.

Effective communication: clear written and spoken English.
Team working: supports colleagues to achieve goals.
Personal effectiveness: plans to deliver results efficiently.

Responsibilities

Coach and develop players across technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social aspects.
Manage players in coaching sessions and Academy fixtures.
Liaise with players and parents about progress and development.
Ensure welfare and safety during Academy coaching and matches.
Supervise players during travel to away fixtures.
Manage and maintain kit and equipment provided by BWFC.
Prepare weekly player reviews and game reports via the Football Intelligence Platform.
Plan and deliver Player Performance Reviews and Parent/Guardian meetings twice yearly.
