Job summary

Somerset Council is recruiting a Project Management Apprentice for a two-year Level 4 apprenticeship. The role combines project coordination, administration and stakeholder support to deliver the Connect to Work programme across Somerset.

You will work with experienced colleagues, develop in-demand project planning skills and work toward a Level 4 qualification, with a focus on improving processes and the customer journey for residents.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Interest in project management and service improvement.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project coordination and administrative support to Connect to Work projects.
• Maintain project plans, action trackers, risk logs and programme docs.
• Prepare reports, presentations and performance information for stakeholders.
• Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take notes and monitor actions.
• Support gathering, analysing and presenting information for planning and decisions.
