Job summary

United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is offering a 2-year fixed-term apprenticeship for a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. The role covers 37.5 hours per week over 7 days across Lincoln County Hospital and Pilgrim Hospital Boston, with a start window in January–February 2027.

This apprenticeship includes study time toward an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and rotation through NHS settings, with support to achieve registration as a Pharmacy Technician on completion.

Qualifications

• NVQ/BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent (desire to study towards)
• Evidence of accuracy checking competency
• Experience working within a hospital, retail, community, or other pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy while under pressure.
• On-the-job experience with rotations across Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital Boston and other sites.
• Complete NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services with allocated study time while training.
