Job summary

The United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust offers a two-year pre-registration pharmacy apprenticeship on a fixed-term contract. Trainees gain hospital and rotational placements and work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, with eligibility to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council at the end.

The rotations include Grantham, Lincolnshire Community Health Services and an aseptic services facility, with a 37.5-hour week on a seven-day rota including weekends.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs at grade A-C (9-4) including Maths, English and a Science subject.
• NVQ/BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent, or willingness to study towards it.
• Evidence of accuracy checking competency, or ability to work towards it.

Job description

This is a two-year pre-registration apprenticeship in the pharmacy departments of United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, on a fixed-term contract. Trainees spend their time on hospital and rotational placements while working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, with eligibility to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council at the end. The rotations cover Grantham, community services and an aseptic services facility, across 37.5 hours on a seven-day rota that includes weekends. Visa sponsorship is not available, so applicants must already have the right to work and study in the UK.
