Job summary

Leonard Cheshire is seeking a Service Manager to oversee two care homes near Hitchin, Symonds House and No.1 Lavender Fields. You will lead a dedicated staff team, drive person-centred care and ensure services meet standards for adults with physical disabilities.

The role is full-time, with occasional travel and on-call duties. You will manage recruitment, training and performance, uphold governance, and contribute to strategic development within a respected charity.

Qualifications

• Recognised nursing or social care qualification and registration.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Proven supervisory/management experience in care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction, management and supervision of a great staff team.
• Promote positive outcomes for residents and ensure the service runs smoothly.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and statutory obligations.
• Recruit, train and manage staff performance within budgetary limits.
