Job summary

Leonard Cheshire is hiring for a full-time role at Symonds House in Hitchin. The position involves 46 hours per week with a flexible rota across weekdays and weekends to support 20 disabled adults in a residential setting.

You'll provide daily living assistance including personal care, meals and medication administration while promoting independence. Training and development are provided, with a focus on person-centred care and safe records.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care helpful but not essential
• Willingness to work weekends
• Good communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Support with daily living tasks such as personal care and mealtimes
• Assist residents with medications as needed and encourage independence
• Accompany people to appointments, events and community activities
• Keep clear, accurate records and documentation
• Help residents live life on their own terms
