Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced, organised leader to head the access service for the TVS Secure Data Environment Programme. You will own the delivery and ongoing development of access processes, guiding requests from enquiry to onboarding and closure while ensuring governance and value for research and planning.

The role offers independence, accountability to senior programme leadership, and the opportunity to shape a trusted data-access capability

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the delivery and continuous improvement of the access service, from enquiry and triage through to review, decision tracking, fulfilment, onboarding, active use and closure.
• Lead day-to-day management and coordination of the TVS SDE access process, ensuring requests progress through stages in a timely, well-governed way.
• Ensure the access process aligns with national standards, organisational goals and user needs.

Job description

We areseekingan experienced and organised individual to join the Thames Valley and Surrey (TVS) Secure Data Environment (SDE) Programme, hosted by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH), to lead access-related operational processes across the programme.

This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of leading and developing innovative solutions that will transform scientific research and healthcare delivery within the NHS.

The TVS SDE manages access to routinely collected health and care data and associated services for approved research and planning purposes.Theaccessserviceguidesapplicants from theirinitialenquiry through to the safe, lawful, and well-governed use of data within the environment, ensuring a consistent and transparent process for all stakeholders.

Working with ahighdegreeofindependence,the successful candidate willtake ownership of the deliveryandcontinuous improvement oftheaccessservice,beingaccountableforactivities from enquiry and triage through to review, decision tracking, fulfilment, onboarding, active use, and closure.

Theaccess processis apivotalelement of the TVS SDE,and theeffectivemanagementof thisis a vitalcontributiontowards the successof theoverall service., Reporting to the Programme Manager and accountable to theSenior Programme Manager, the post holder will take ownership of the day-to-day management and coordination ofthe access processfor the TVS SDE.Working with a high degree of independence, they will ensurethe access processoperatesseamlessly and alignswith national standards, organisational goals, and user needs.This includesensuring requests to use data and services for approved research and planning purposes progress through theappropriate stagesina timely, consistent, and well-governed way.
