Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated tutor to join our team in Wigan. You will design and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 and KS4 and boost engagement and attainment for at-risk students.

The role involves one-to-one or small-group tutoring, supporting vulnerable learners and devising creative, patient teaching strategies. Start date ASAP on a temporary, part-time contract.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

Responsibilities

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the English, Maths and Science Tutor:

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
