Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Tutor to support vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk students in Wigan. You will create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3/KS4 and boost engagement and attainment.

This contract position offers part-time hours with flexible scheduling, working within the community or at pupils' homes. QTS or tutoring experience is required, and DBS clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience required.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience with SEND or disengaged pupils is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge KS3/KS4 gaps.
• Plan and deliver engaging sessions to raise attainment.
• Support students in a home or community setting.

As such, we are looking for a passionate, creative and holistic tutor, eager to provide academic support and guidance to students in a one-on-one or small-group setting, improving their educational journey.
