Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated tutor to support vulnerable learners in the Lancashire area. The role involves planning and delivering tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in KS3/KS4 and improve engagement and attainment.

The successful candidate will work with SEND or disengaged pupils, have QTS or tutoring experience, and hold the right to work in the UK. DBS clearance is required or a new application will be processed.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels.
• Provide academic support and guidance to students in a one-on-one or small-group setting.
• Contribute to improving the students' educational journey through personalized teaching strategies.

You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk young people. The successful tutor must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

As such, we are looking for a passionate, creative and holistic tutor, eager to provide academic support and guidance to students in a one-on-one or small-group setting, improving their educational journey.

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the English, Maths and Science Tutor:

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience

• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
