Job summary

Prospero Teaching in the Blackpool area is seeking a dedicated tutor to support vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk pupils. You will design, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 and boost engagement and attainment levels.

The role is part-time with flexible hours, starting ASAP under a temporary contract. Experience with SEND or a patient, creative approach is valued, and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3/KS4.
• Help boost engagement and attainment with personalized plans.
• Support occasional small-group sessions as required.

Experience and Qualifications of the English, Maths and Science Tutor:

• QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
