Job summary

Shaw Trust is seeking a Supported Internship Tutor with Job Coaching based in Reading. You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral support to interns on a Supported Internship programme, helping them gain employability qualifications and confidence to work.

The role combines classroom delivery with workplace coaching, and you will collaborate with employers, families, local authorities and other stakeholders to maximise positive outcomes for young people with additional needs.

Purpose

The Supported Internship Tutor with Job Coaching is primarily responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and pastoral support to interns enrolled on a Supported Internship programme. The role supports interns to achieve accredited employability qualifications, develop independence, and successfully transition into paid employment. Alongside classroom delivery, the Tutor will provide workplace coaching and employment-focused support, working closely with employers, families, local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure interns gain the skills, confidence and experience required to succeed in the workplace. The role combines educational delivery with practical employment support to maximise positive outcomes for young people with additional needs.
