Shaw Trust in West London is seeking a dedicated role to make a meaningful difference for young people aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). You will build supportive relationships, assess needs and create tailored action plans to help them move towards sustainable opportunities in education, employment or training.
Working with a diverse caseload, you will provide mentoring, role model engagement and personalised interventions to boost confidence and readiness.
Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.
At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.
For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.
This role is all about making a meaningful difference to the lives of young people aged 16-24 who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET) across the West London boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow. You will build supportive relationships with young people, helping them identify their aspirations, overcome barriers and take positive steps towards sustainable employment, education or training opportunities.
Working with a diverse caseload, you will assess individual needs and create tailored support plans that reflect each young person's goals and circumstances. Through a combination of employability activities, mentoring, role model engagement and personalised interventions, you will empower participants to develop their confidence, skills and readiness for the next stage of their journey. You will agree bespoke action plans, regularly review progress and provide ongoing encouragement and guidance, ensuring young people remain motivated and engaged as they move towards achieving lasting positive outcomes.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, building confidence, and helping individuals realise their potential through meaningful learning and employment opportunities.
Please note this is a fixed-term role until 31st March 2027
