Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a Tutor (SEND) to deliver 1:1 tuition to students with SEND, including SEMH and ASD, in a non-mainstream setting. The role focuses on building confidence and breaking learning barriers to help each student reach their potential.

The position offers flexible hours, excellent PAYE rates, pension contributions, CPD opportunities, and dedicated consultant support to help you grow professionally and make a real difference in young peoples’ lives.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS teaching qualification.
• Experience with EHCPs and SEND, SEMH, ASD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 face-to-face tuition to students out of mainstream settings.
• Support learners to overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.
• Contribute to consistent, long-term delivery for each student.

The School and Role

The LA are looking for an experienced Teacher to provide face to face tuition to students who are out of a mainstream setting. The desiredTutor (SEND) will be working 1:1 with students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and ASD.

TheTutor (SEND) role is long term to provide consistency for students and work towards breaking down barriers to learning and to give the student the confidence to reach their full potential.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• A professional Teaching Qualification (QTS / QTLS)
• Experience of working with young people with EHCPs
• Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs
• A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.
