Job summary

Vision for Education seeks an experienced SEND Tutor in Stockton-on-Tees to deliver in-person, one-to-one tuition for students with SEND, SEMH, and ASD. The role focuses on removing barriers to learning and building student confidence to reach their full potential.

Experience with EHCPs is preferred. The position offers flexible hours, with competitive PAYE rates and support from a dedicated consultant to assist your professional development.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• Experience working with young people with EHCPs and SEND, SEMH, MLD, or other needs is desirable.
• Commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face 1:1 tuition for students outside mainstream settings.
• Support students with SEND/SEMH/ASD to break learning barriers and build confidence.
• Work on a long-term basis to provide continuity and stability for learners.

The School and Role

The LA are looking for an experienced Teacher to provide face to face tuition to students who are out of a mainstream setting. The desiredSEND Tutor will be working 1:1 with students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and ASD.

TheSEND Tutor role is long term to provide consistency for students and work towards breaking down barriers to learning and to give the student the confidence to reach their full potential.

Requirements

• A professional Teaching Qualification (QTS / QTLS)


• Experience of working with young people with EHCPs


• Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or other Additional Educational Needs


• A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.
