Job summary

ASC Connections is recruiting on behalf of a well-established metal fabrication business near Aston for a Turret Punch Press Operator working weekly afternoons from 2pm to 10pm. You will operate and set Turret Punch Press machinery, load/unload materials, and ensure efficient production.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, inspecting parts, and supporting general shop floor tasks. A Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence would be highly advantageous and immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Turret Punch Press machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
• Experience handling sheet metal and meeting production targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set Turret Punch Press machinery to manufacture sheet metal components.
• Load and unload materials and ensure machines run efficiently.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and dimensions.
• Support general production, material handling and shop floor activities as required.
• Use a counterbalance forklift to move stock around the site.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist metal fabrication business based near Aston for a Turret Punch Press Operator working an afternoon shift of Monday-Friday 2pm - 10pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating and setting Turret Punch Press machinery to manufacture sheet metal components
• Loading and unloading materials and ensuring machines are running efficiently
• Inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
• Supporting general production, material handling and shop floor activities as required
• Using a counterbalance forklift truck to move stock safely around the site.

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating Turret Punch Press machinery within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
• Experience handling sheet metal products and working to production targets
• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence would be highly advantageous

On Offer:

• Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm shift
• £14+ per hour
