Job summary

National Highways is hiring a Lead Operational Technology Specialist - Tunnel Systems & Technology to lead the OT strategy for tunnel systems and associated ITS. You will act as the technical authority, shape governance, and drive long-term capability development across digital solutions and data-driven asset management.

The role requires collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable operations while promoting adoption of emerging technologies and strategic roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in operational technology within complex engineering environments such as tunnels.
• Strong understanding of functional safety, resilience, availability and performance.
• Experience with ITS systems including SCADA, PLC, control and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for tunnel OT and drive governance.
• Define and drive technical strategy for tunnel systems and roadmaps across OT domains.
• Lead business cases, supplier engagement and open standards adoption.
• Mentor colleagues and build OT capability across teams.
