Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is recruiting a reliable Tug Driver for a busy industrial operation in Scunthorpe. The role involves moving trailers, units, and materials across the site, ensuring safe transportation and accurate positioning to support production and logistics.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, liaise with multiple teams, and follow site safety procedures. Flexible shifts between 6am and 10pm, outdoor work, and full training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a tug or similar industrial vehicle.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts (6am–10pm).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tug vehicles safely and efficiently to move trailers, units, and equipment across site.
• Transport and position trailers between loading bays, storage locations, production areas, and designated operational zones.
• Ensure trailers are parked, secured, and positioned accurately in accordance with site requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and pre-use checks, reporting any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Liaise with warehouse, logistics, transport, and production teams to coordinate trailer movements and priorities.
• Complete relevant vehicle and operational documentation accurately when required.
• Adhere to all site traffic management procedures, health and safety requirements, and safe systems of work.
• Assist with general yard and operational duties as required to support business needs.
