Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is hiring a reliable Tug Driver in Scunthorpe to move trailers and equipment across a busy site. The role requires safe operation, daily vehicle checks, and coordination with multiple teams. Candidates should be comfortable outdoors and flexible to shifts between 6am and 10pm. Full induction and training are provided.

Experience with tug vehicles or similar industrial equipment is preferred, and own transport is essential due to location.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a tug, shunter, yard tractor, terminal tractor, HGV, FLT, or similar industrial vehicle preferred.
• Experience in logistics, transport, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing or industrial environments advantageous.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tug vehicles safely and efficiently to move trailers, units, and equipment across site.
• Transport and position trailers between loading bays, storage locations, production areas, and zones.
• Ensure trailers are parked, secured, and positioned to site requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects or maintenance issues.
• Coordinate trailer movements with warehouse, logistics, transport and production teams.
• Complete vehicle and operational documentation as required.
• Adhere to site traffic management, health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
• Assist with general yard and operational duties as required.
