PRO-TAX RECRUITMENT LIMITED is assisting a growing Top 35 accountancy group in Thame to recruit a Trust Tax Manager. You will handle a complex portfolio of trusts and estates, with a focus on IHT planning, advisory work, and high technical standards.

Hybrid working is offered (3 days in the office, up to 2 from home) with flexible core hours. The role provides progression, strong client relationships and exposure to private clients, landed estates, and agricultural trusts.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with UK trusts within an accountancy practice or tax environment.
• Experience preparing trust accounts and tax returns.
• Knowledge of IHT including periodic and exit charges.
• Experience managing client relationships and workload.
• Confidence dealing directly with trustees and private clients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual tax returns and trust accounts for a complex portfolio of Trust and Estate clients.
• Review IHT returns on death, periodic charges and exit charges.
• Support Partners with advisory work and technical trust queries.
• Manage your own portfolio, including Trust Registration Service updates.
• Liaise directly with clients and attend Trustee meetings where required.
• Support senior members of the Trust team.
• Help maintain high technical standards across the team.
