Pro-Finance is recruiting a Trust Tax Manager in Thame to handle a complex portfolio of trusts and estates. The role offers hybrid working with three days in the office and two from home, and a clear path for progression within a growing Top 35 firm.

You will prepare trust tax returns, support advisory work, and manage client relationships while maintaining high technical standards in a varied client base including landed estates and agricultural clients.

Qualifications

• Experience working with UK trusts within an accountancy practice or tax environment.
• Experience preparing trust accounts and tax returns.
• Understanding of different trust structures and their tax implications.
• Knowledge of IHT, including periodic and exit charges.
• Experience managing client relationships and workload.
• Confidence dealing directly with trustees and private clients.
• Strong technical judgement with a commercially minded approach.
• Agricultural or landed estate experience and CCH experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual tax returns and trust accounts for a complex portfolio of Trust and Estate clients.
• Review IHT returns on death, periodic charges and exit charges.
• Support Partners with advisory work and technical trust queries.
• Manage your own portfolio, including Trust Registration Service updates.
• Liaise directly with clients and attend Trustee meetings where required.
• Support senior members of the Trust team and help maintain high technical standards.
