We are seeking aManagement Accountant to join our team at Bourne Education Trust.

The role will provide critical financial insights and support to the Trust's leadership team and School Business Leaders. The role involves analysing financial data, preparing reports, supporting schools and offering actionable recommendations to help drive the Trust’s financial planning and operational decisions.

Position:Management Accountant

Location:London Boroughs of Richmond; Hammersmith and Fulham, with some travel to other schools

Contract:Full time, Permanent

Salary:Support scales 11-12, £55,485 to £70,099

Key responsibilities include:
  • Work with SBLs to prepare annual budgets and 3 year forecasts as directed, working closely with SBLs and other senior staff
  • Identify risks and report to the Head of Management Accounts
  • Support SBLs with re-forecasting of budgets using the Trust’s budgeting software
Requirements include:
  • An awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
  • Excellent literacy skills Interpreting financial reports and accounting information and identifying actions required
  • Experience of working in schools as a School Business Manager or similar role
  • Holds or working towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA qualification
  • School, Academy or MAT accounting
  • School/Charity/Third sector governance and reporting
