Job description

The post holder will be required to:

• Participate as an active member of the East Kent Cellular Pathology Service and contribute to overall service provision, planning and development.
• Cutting up of surgical pathology specimens under supervision
• Reporting surgical pathology specimens and non-gynae cytology specimens under supervision
• Performing and reporting Frozen sections under supervision
• Participate in Multidisciplinary Meetings which support speciality cancer services, becoming responsible for quality assurance in the relevant specialities
• Participate in clinical audit. Internal audit takes place on a regular basis and there are appropriate facilities and secretarial support.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement.
• Participate in the annual enhanced appraisal process
