Anaesthetic junior posts have become available within the Department of Perioperative Medicine at Whipps Cross Hospital. These posts are funded by Barts Health and are Trust Grade appointments. They attract the MN37 payscale, 1A banding supplement (50%), and London weighting. These roles may also support candidates working towards Stage 1 RCoA competencies.
The posts will commence on 6th August 2025 for a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension upon mutual agreement.
The Department of Perioperative Medicine provides anaesthesia for all surgical specialties and is involved in various initiatives. The Critical Care Units comprise 17 beds with 800-900 admissions annually. The maternity unit offers a vibrant training environment with 4,500-5,000 deliveries per year. On-call duties are on a 1:8 rolling rota, covering emergency theatres, critical care, or obstetrics.
