Job summary

GLF Schools seeks a Trust Attendance Lead to drive a trust-wide attendance strategy across all phases, from Nursery to Sixth Form, reducing persistent absence and closing gaps for disadvantaged pupils. You will ensure effective systems, support and accountability in every school to help every child attend, belong, achieve and thrive.

• Proven leadership experience driving improvement across multiple schools with equity focus.
• Expert knowledge of attendance, inclusion, safeguarding and family engagement.
• Highly analytical, able to use attendance data to identify barriers and evaluate impact.
• Confident in setting and monitoring ambitious attendance and inclusion targets.
• Skilled at influencing and supporting school leaders.
• Passionate about improving outcomes for every child.
• Confident leading change and embedding best practice.
• Exceptional communicator building partnerships with schools, families and wider services.

Responsibilities

• Lead GLF’s trust-wide strategy to improve attendance across all phases, from Nursery to 6th Form, reducing persistent absence and closing gaps.
• Ensure systems, support and accountability are in place for every school to help every child attend, belong, achieve and thrive.
• Collaborate with school leaders, families and wider services to build capacity and accountability across the trust.
• Use attendance, demographic and risk data to identify barriers and shape timely support.
• Monitor progress against ambitious attendance and inclusion targets and ABIE targets.
• Lead change, policy shaping and embedding best practice across the network.
• Communicate effectively to build trusted partnerships with schools and families.
