Job summary

Bidfood Group is seeking a reliable Shunter/Trunker Driver to join the Transport Team at Bidfood Slough. You will shunt vehicles, manage loading bay movements and perform trunking runs between depots and customers, while upholding safety standards.

The role requires a Class 1 licence, CPC and tachograph card, with a flexible approach to meet operational needs. Full-time hours are offered with a mid-shift Sunday to Thursday pattern.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver compliance and road safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Shunt vehicles and trailers around the depot safely.
• Move vehicles to and from loading bays.
• Carry out trunking runs between Bidfood depots and customer locations.

Shunter / Trunker Driver

Location: Bidfood Slough
Hours: Full Time
Shift Pattern: Mid-Shift - Sunday - Thursday

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Shunter / Trunker Driver to join our Transport Team at Bidfood Slough.

Key Responsibilities

• Shunting vehicles and trailers around the depot safely.
• Moving vehicles to and from loading bays.
• Completing trunking runs between Bidfood depots and customer locations.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
• Ensuring compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, and company policies.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Delivering and collecting vehicles from garages, MOT stations, and external suppliers.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver compliance and road safety legislation.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Flexible approach to meet operational requirements.
