Job summary

Bidfood UK is recruiting a night Trunker/Shunter to join our depot team. You’ll load vehicles and prepare orders to ensure smooth departures, handling ambient, chilled and frozen goods.

This physically demanding role requires a full C+E licence, the ability to work 5 nights in 7, and a strong safety focus. You’ll coordinate with drivers and internal teams to meet customer needs while upholding Bidfood’s service standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full C+E driving licence (Class 1)
• Night shift 5 in 7 days
• Physically demanding role with loading/unloading and safe handling of goods

Responsibilities

• Handle ambient, chilled and frozen products across depots and on the road

As a Bidfood Trunker/Shunter, you’ll be working with our night’s team loading our vehicles to making sure that they’re ready for a smooth departure for their onward deliveries! This means you’ll be handling and delivering ambient, chilled and frozen food products around our yards and out on the roads to pick up collections from our other Bidfood depots.

This role is a night time role which is any 5 in 7 days.

You’ll carry out temperature checks throughout the night and help to load and unload vehicles where needed, meeting the highest of safety standards.

You’ll have a good mix of variety and familiarity in this role and ultimately whilst you’re working with our internal teams, you’ll have our customers at the heart of everything you do!
