ADS Laser Cutting Ltd in Leicester is seeking an experienced Laser Operator for the back shift. You will set and run Trumpf laser cutting machines, read drawings, and ensure high-quality parts.

The role includes logging job times on our ERP and performing routine maintenance. We offer progression opportunities, a 38-hour week (Mon-Thu 3:15pm-1:15am), with Fridays-Sundays off, plus benefits after qualifying period and onsite facilities.

Formación

• Experience setting and running laser cutting machines, ideally Trumpf.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and check parts.
• Basic machine maintenance knowledge.
• Reliable, self-motivated and a team player.

Responsabilidades

• Set and run Trumpf laser cutting machines to produce accurate parts.
• Check material, thickness, finish and NC programmes before cutting.
• Read engineering drawings and check parts against them.
• Handle stainless, polished, grained and anodised materials with care.
• Log jobs and times on the ERP system.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and report faults early.
• Label, store offcuts and use them efficiently.

We’re a family owned metalwork company with an 87,000 sq. ft. site and over 100 staff, and we’re investing heavily in new technology and people. We need an experienced Laser Operator to join our back shift team.

The deal

• £14 - £15 per hour basic, plus a £1.70/hr shift premium
• 38 hour week, Monday to Thursday, 3:15pm to 1:15am, with Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays off
• Above statutory holiday, rising with service

What you’ll do

• Set and run our Trumpf laser cutting machines to produce accurate, high-quality parts
• Check material, thickness, finish and NC programmes before you cut
• Read engineering drawings and check parts against them
• Handle stainless, polished, grained and anodised materials with care
• Make good use of offcuts, and label and store them properly
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and report faults early
• Log your jobs and times on our ERP system

What we’re looking for

• Experience setting and running laser cutting machines, ideally Trumpf
• Experience on other makes (Bystronic, Amada etc.) Apply anyway. We’ll train you on Trumpf.
• Ability to read drawings and an eye for quality
• Basic machine maintenance knowledge
• Reliable and self motivated, and happy working as part of a team
