Job summary

ADS Laser Cutting Ltd, a family-owned metalwork company in Leicester, is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join the back shift. You will set and run Trumpf laser cutting machines to produce accurate, high-quality parts and read engineering drawings.

The role is 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 3:15pm–1:15am, with Fridays to Sundays off. The package includes £14–£15 per hour base, plus a £1.70 per hour shift premium, above statutory holiday, pension, private healthcare after

Qualifications

• Experience setting and running laser cutting machines (Trumpf preferred).
• Ability to read engineering drawings and verify parts.
• Basic machine maintenance knowledge.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set and run Trumpf laser cutting machines to produce precise parts.
• Check material, thickness, finish and NC programmes before cutting.
• Read engineering drawings and verify parts against them.
• Handle stainless, polished, grained and anodised materials with care.
• Make use of offcuts and label/store them properly.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and report faults.
• Log jobs and times on the ERP system.
