Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority seeks a Tritium Analysis Laboratory Manager at Culham Science Centre. Lead the operation and continuous improvement of the Tritium Analysis Laboratory, delivering analytical and waste characterisation services for safe management of radioactive materials.

You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency, mentor staff and help shape future accreditation activities within a highly skilled scientific environment, contributing to the UK's fusion energy mission.

Qualifications

Experience managing a laboratory, leading teams and projects.
Experience developing and validating analytical methods.
Familiar with quality systems and accreditation processes.

Responsibilities

Ensure TAL operates safely and efficiently in line with procedures.
Manage laboratory equipment, maintenance, calibration and fit for purpose.
Prepare and analyze radioactive, beryllium-contaminated and chemically contaminated samples.
Develop, validate and improve analytical methods; produce timely reports.
Maintain QA systems and documentation; ensure traceability and compliance.
Review, verify and report analytical results to internal customers; train staff.
