Job summary

Crosby Composites Limited is seeking a day-to-day supervisor for the trimming team to ensure the department meets customer requirements and quality standards while using resources efficiently.

You will oversee production scheduling, provide tools and guidance to trimmers, escalate delays, maintain equipment, and collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to uphold delivery, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall execution and delivery of the production schedule for the department.
• Ensure trimmers have the tools, information and guidance to complete each jobsheet daily, maximizing plan adherence and efficiency.
• Ensure all tasks are completed on time and to policy/procedures.
• Work with the team daily to highlight delays and implement a plan to catch up.
• Ensure equipment is well checked, maintained and serviced per policy, escalating issues as required.
• Liaise with Inspection and Trim departments for smooth production of current and future work.
• Report resource/material shortages to the Operations Manager or Production Managers.
• Ensure all work meets the correct quality standards at all times.
• Brief quality performance issues and corrective actions to the Operations Manager and ensure actions are followed.
• Escalate any moulds/process/manual issues immediately to the Operations Manager.

Purposeofthejob:

This role is responsible for the day to day supervision of the trimming team. Ensuring the departmentisworkingtomeetthecustomerneeds,thecorrect qualitystandardsofworkand the departmental resources are supervised effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities

• Toberesponsibleforoverallexecutionanddeliveryoftheproductionschedulefor department as a whole, ensuring the schedule is completed and any issue are escalated to the appropriate individuals.
• Responsible for ensuring the trimmers have the required tools, information and guidancetomakesurejobsheetiscompletedeverydaymaximizingplanadherence and efficiency.
• Ensuringalltasksarecompletedontime,correctly tocompany/customer policy/procedures in an efficient manner.
• Working with the team on a day to day basis ensuring any delays are highlighted to theOperationsManageranda planisputinplacewiththeteamtocatchup/coveroff any delays, causing issues are rectified ASAP and a prevention plan/action is put in place.
• Responsibleforensuringequipmentiswellchecked,maintainedandserviced according to the company policy, any issues to be rectified immediately and escalated as required.
• LiaisewithInspectionandTrimdepartmentstoensuresmoothproductionofcurrent and future work.
• Ensurethatanyresource/materialshortagesarereportedtotheOperationsManager or Production Managers.
• Responsibleforensuringallworkiscompletedtothecorrectqualitystandard (both the customer and companies) at all times.
• LiaisingwiththeOperationsManagertodebriefqualityperformance,issues,failures of process, correctiveactions andensuringanyactions arefollowedandresolvedin a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Escalatinganyissuesarisingfrommoulds/process/manualsneedstotheOperations Manager/PM/PE immediately and ensuring these are dealt with.

People Management

• Responsibleforthedaily supervisionoftrimmers,ensuringtheyareawareoftheir individualshiftrequirements,theworkexpectedofthemandthecompanypolicies and procedures.
